After very different careers in business and entertainment, we were sent in this direction at the recommendation of friends. We are married, proud parents, and the only two teachers in our program.
In our first year, we began publishing the research we used in our programs in a quarterly written newsletter called The Drug Fact Update, which became a popular teaching tool for instructors in the classroom. As technology changed through the years, this has evolved into weekly news reports posted on Twitter, Facebook, podcasts, and periodic email newsletters. These Drug Fact Updates and News For Your Classroom are used by teachers, parents, students, and scientists all over the world. All of these links can be accessed at the bottom of this page.
After our first decade of parent presentations, we turned our lectures into handbooks called Lessons in Drug Prevention. These short parenting guides are meant to be read while waiting in carpool, or sitting at the soccer field. We are very proud of these handbooks and are especially touched when a parent pulls one out of their purse filled with sticky notes!
